A serious bit of kit here. Has become my absolute go to for kick drums. Shape and carve the sound and frequencies you want and always have control of your kick drum. 

I absolutely love this plugin. The Scheps 73 from Waves Audio is a must for your vst plugins folder. When you need 6db of headroom on an un processed spikey snare. This one is the man for the job. 

Add smack and bite to drums, loops, synth hits and all percussive sounds by designing the level, shape and duration of their transients’ attack and sustain – from surgical tweaks to savage effects. Take your music production to the next level with Waves plugins.  

Vocal tuning has never been easier or more precise. The ultimate pitch correction tool, for perfectly tuned natural-sounding vocals or creative effects. There is a lot of plugins on the market for this job but this one is one of my favorites for the task in hand, unless you want to spend a lot more on Melodyne.  

The Trackspacer plugins features a 32 band EQ that reacts to the incoming sidechain signal. It analyses the spectrum of the sidechain and applies a reversed EQ curve to another track. As if by magic, Trackspacer creates space for the primary track by cutting the exact frequencies on other tracks. This is my go to tool for sidechains. A must in all music production.

A go to tool for my music production, if you know me you know I love several of Waves Audio's plugins. This one is up there on the top list. With a soft clipper on the output it gives you some great advantages when keeping levels in check. I actually use two of these on my master chain. The UAD one and then into this for the soft clipping and quite often, a touch of 16k sheen. 

You can't get better than the REX player for Jungle music production. How it works with breaks is unmatched unless you're going to crack out an AKAI or EMU sampler. Now working as a VST (yes, its now in your plugins folder) also available as an intro version for under £70. Add in all the other synths, samplers effect and you've found yourself a powerful music creation program.

How many great plugins for this price! It is the basic version, but this is a great way to get into these products. From Elements you can then upgrade when its on offer and save even more. Always one of the cheapest ways to buy vst plugins. 

Check the video I did a while back to see this plugin in action. Some great little features for not a lot of money. In Jungle and Drum & Bass music production you can never have enough distortion plugins. 

Bundle's are the best way to buy. Here's a video I did not long after buying the gold bundle a few years ago on Black Friday. One of the best ways to find value is buying plugins in bundles. Add Black Friday to mix and it really is Christmas come early for producers
